Luca Maremmi is a Product Designer working between the UK and Italy. He studied Industrial Design at the University of Ferrara before completing an MA in Product Design at the Royal College of Art. His practice is characterised by a hands-on approach to design, with materials, making and experimentation forming an integral part of the process. He often develops and produces his own prototypes, using direct engagement with materials to explore new forms, techniques and applications. His work spans objects, furniture and product design, with an interest in the relationship between material processes and everyday life. Alongside his independent practice, He has contributed to the teaching of the Master’s Product Design course at ISIA Roma Design.
